Standing seam metal roofing for the Hill Country
Metal roofs for homes, barns, shops and commercial buildings, installed to manufacturer specifications by a supervisor-led crew.
Why metal makes sense here

Central Texas is hard on roofs: spring hail, high wind, triple-digit summers and intense UV. A standing seam metal roof is built for those conditions, and it looks at home on the limestone, ranch and modern farmhouse styles across the Hill Country.
- Built to endure hail, high heat, wind and intense UV
- Reflective finishes help keep attic heat down
- A clean, modern look that suits Hill Country architecture
- Fits homes, barns, shops and commercial buildings
Standing seam vs. exposed-fastener metal
Not all metal roofs are the same. Standing seam panels join at raised seams with the fasteners hidden underneath, so there are no screws through the face of the roof. Exposed-fastener panels are screwed through the surface, which costs less up front but leaves hundreds of penetrations that need checking over the years. We will walk you through both and recommend the right fit for the building.
| Standing seam | Exposed fastener | |
|---|---|---|
| Fasteners | Hidden under the seams | Screwed through the panel face |
| Typical use | Homes and higher-end buildings | Barns, shops and budget projects |
| Upfront cost | Higher | Lower |
| Upkeep | Minimal | Periodic fastener and seal checks |
Metal for barns, shops and outbuildings
On acreage around Boerne, Bulverde and Spring Branch we often roof the house and the outbuildings together, so everything matches and you deal with one crew and one proposal.
Commercial metal roofing
For storefronts, offices and industrial buildings, we design metal systems around each building's requirements. See commercial roofing.
Metal roofing FAQs
Will hail dent a metal roof?
Large hail can leave cosmetic dents on metal, but a properly installed standing seam roof is designed to keep shedding water. We explain the panel options and finishes during your free inspection.
Is a metal roof loud in the rain?
Installed over solid decking and underlayment, as we install it, a metal roof is far quieter than the barn roofs people picture.
Can you put metal on my existing house?
Usually, yes. We inspect the structure, decking and ventilation first, then give you a same-day proposal.
